Cherry Blossom Cottage was founded in 1989 by Sylvia Griffin on the principle of providing a high level of genuine caring personal service to each of our residents. Upon her retirement in 1999, Sylvia was pleased to hand over the management responsibilities to her daughter, Rebecca.
Our small, homelike environment ensures our residents' unique needs are met. We have long-term, dedicated staff who stay because they want each resident to know they are loved and cared for.
It is the family's goal to continue Sylvia's legacy of care and respect while maintaining the beauty and comfort of all our residents in a place they are happy to call home.

As a small facility we do not have a van or bus for resident transportation. We do have several transportation services we can recommend. Residents and families will need to provide their own transportation or arrange for transportation to be provided.
For safety reasons all medications need to be in bubble pack form. Residents can choose which pharmacy they use as long as it provides medications in bubble pack. ProPac/Payless is the pharmacy that we use for in house supplies as well as our medication management.

The south end apartments have smaller bathrooms for the more independent resident. However, as the resident's needs change, and more assistance is needed, a large shower room is available which allows the resident to stay in the comfort of their apartment while using the larger shower space.
One of the unique aspects of our one-bedroom apartments is the unobstructed access throughout the apartment. This was designed to enable greater independence for our residents who may use walkers or wheelchairs. With fewer obstructions, residents are less likely to fall while maneuvering doorways.
This level of care is for basic independent living with general services. The resident’s level of care is determined after a thorough evaluation, which determines which services will be performed for the resident, the frequency of those services as well as the duration of the services.
